I can really relate. I believe some mountains are not to be moved, rather to be conqured.

Oh my gosh. This is me. I have seen every bit of this play out in my life. I have cried out why. I have thought I wasn’t good enough. I have the wife that saw through the rough edges, and we are raising our kids better than I was. It is so great to see I am not the only one. I feared failure, and yet through. All of my own self doubt, and all the storms God saw me gave me everything I could have ever asked for and more. Thank you so much for these amazing words. I am humbled to know that He knew all along what he was doing.

Just like old home week. It is not the failure of God to answer our prayers that most often defeats the pleadings and petitions we bring before Him but the truly insufficient and pitiful set of expectations from which we insist He should attempt to do so. Our God is perfect because His nature is utterly perfect. Imagine His struggle attempting to become unperfect just to please our desire for a .01% solution to our petitions. I am sure He would do that for us if it was possible because His love for us is so unqualified and limitless but He can not. That's why Jesus had to undergo utter humiliation, torture, and death on our behalf. The sacrifice as with His answer to our petitions had to be as perfect as it was complete. When our Savior says, "it is done", the deed can only be perfectly and completely done. That is why we should never insist upon less.

I was cheering you on as you overcame so many obstacles in life, so much brokenness. Thank you for sharing. God really does provide his grace even in what first seems to be unanswered prayers.
